Recap: For most of the afternoon it looked like the Clemson Tigers were poised to advance to the quarterfinal round of the ACC Tournament. Seemingly in total control the entire contest, Clemson had withstood every Miami charge until the Canes final one. Miami mounted a late push behind sharp shooting Guillermo Diaz as the Hurricanes overtook the Tigers late for a 3-point win. Clemson had a good look at a 3-point shot that would have forced over time but Vernon Hamilton’s shot clanged off the iron as the buzzer sounded, sealing the Tigers fate.

The Wake Forest win sets up a Tobacco Road free-for-all in Friday’s second quarterfinal.
