Recap: Craig Smith had 21 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists to lead Boston College past Maryland 80-66 in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament on Friday night. BC jumped out to a huge lead in their first ever ACC Tournament game and never looked back. The Eagles used their superior inside strength to overwhelm the Terps. The loss seriously hurts Maryland’s already precarious NCAA Tournament chances.
