The Carolina Dynamo and the Atlanta Silverbacks U23 played to a 1-1 draw at the Mac on Friday evening.
Carolina jumped out to the first half lead, as Dynamo leading scorer Randi Patterson scored his 14th goal of the season. Atlanta responded minutes later as Silverback Macoumba Kandjl scored the tying goal.
With the draw, the Dynamo are now 12-0-2 in league play.

Other Dynamo Notes

After Wednesday night’s win over Seattle, the Dynamo continue to compete in the Lamar Hunt/US Open Cup. Carolina is the last remaining PDL (Premier Developmental League) team in the tournament and was awarded a $10,000 bonus for being the PDL club to advance the furthest in the Cup. If the Dynamo can score a road upset against Houston on August 2, the task doesn’t get any easier for Carolina. The Dynamo would then face another Major League Soccer team, either Columbus or DC United on August 23rd. The Crew and United also play on August 2.
