Jim Modlin and others’ NFL “N” Sider Picks/Greensboro College gets the Big One

Last week on the picks it went Andy 12-2, Bobby Lashely 11-3, Big Jim Modlin 9-5, and Marshall Brown 8-6….I jumped into the fire last week and did pretty good.  This week we need to get JA Joey the LifeTouch photographer in the mix.

Here’s how it shakes down from Big Jim, with his Gems from the Fitness Today Gym on Randleman Road.

KC at Oakland(KC), Chicago at Detroit(BEARS), Carolina at Atlanta(ATL), Tenn. at Buffalo(BILLS), Baltimore at Pitts.(STEELERS), Indy at Houston(COLTS), Washington at St. Louis(RAMS), New Orleans at N.Y. Giants(SAINTS), New England at Jacksonville(PATS), Tampa Bay at Cleveland(BROWNS), Arizona at San Fran.(49er’s), San Diego at Seattle(SEAHAWKS), Cincinnati at Denver(BENGALS)

I will get my picks up later on but I wanted to cogratulate Greensboro College on their win Thursday night over John Carroll.  I was at the game in the historic Hanes Gym and walked away impressed by the effort Coach Brian Galuski’s kids showed in the victory.  The Pride are  now 7-1 after last night’s 66-63 “W” and with guys like Lynn Bright and Adam Nicholson this could be a USA South Conference championship season.  Local leader Bryant Camp out of Asheboro, at 6’7 225, is a big force in the middle for the Pride.

Congrats again to the Greensboro College Basketball Classic Champs, our own GC Pride.  Good work by the coach and his players and top notch effort turned in by AD Kim Strable(who I saw on my way out and I wasn’t kicked out for insubordination), good work by SID Bob Lowe, and we saw the Greensboro Grasshoppers’ mascot doing the webcast for GC at www.stretchinternet.com.  That mascot is Spaz, also known as Danny Mackey at Greensboro College.
