Coach K to leave High Point Central

Coach K, Stan Kowaleski the boys head varsity basketball coach at High Point Central announced on Monday afternoon that he is leaving HPC and he will be the first-ever boys basketball coach at the new Northern Guilford High School.

Kowaleski led his Bison team to the Metro 4-A regular season and tournament championships this past season and they went 12-0 in the conference during the regular season.  Coach K told his team of his intentions this afternoon.

Coach K is headed to Northern and he has also coached at Greensboro Day, Greensboro College, UNCG, Kiser, and at Bishop McGuiness since moving to Greesnboro in 1995.

Coach K is on his way to Northern Guilford.  Kowaleski joins Johnny Smith(Baseball), Johnny Roscoe(Football), and Kim Furlough(Girls Basketball) as the new Northern Guilford NightHawks coaches.  Of the new coaches, only Kim Furlough is slated to also be a teacher at Northern.  The other coaches are all non-teachers.
