Everybody is leaving High Point Central and Tiger is Talking

Todd Staley the head football coach at High Point Central is leaving for the job as head coach at a AAAAA high school down in South Carolina.  Staley was previoulsy an assistant coach for David Gutschall down in SC.  Gutschall led Burlington Cummings to several state championships before taking on the bigger piece of pie in what some people call real football country.  Staley played for and was an assistant coach for Gutschall at Cummings.

Staley has left High Point Central and he joins basketball coach Stan Kowaleski and athletic director Darell Force in leaving HP Central this year.  Word has it that Staley will only have to teach one class and can run his football practice from 2-4:30 and that sounds like a nice set-up to me.

I got the Tiger Talk e-mail from Tiger Miller last night.  Tiger tells us that his Southeast Guilford Middle School baseball team defeated Northwest on Tuesday 7-3 and Tiger had one of his better games.  Tiger went 2-4 at the plate with a single and a long double to the center field fence to help lead his Falcons to victory.  Big Charlie Pannell taught Tiger everything he knows so Tiger may be doing some more talking down around Southeast School Road later this week.  Keith Miller, Tiger’s dad says he may be Fed Ex-ing a large package to the greensborosports.com offices soon.  Our offices are located at 1-9-9-9 Toyota Corolla Greensboro, NC 2740(FILL IN THE BLANK) depending on what parking lot we are sitting in.
