The Southeast Guilford Falcons went on the road and came back winners on Tuesday night but for Northwest their season ended in extra innings.

SEG defeated Anson County 3-1 behind Cam Cockman and Austin Moyer and now faces RS Central later this week in the 3-A West Finals.  The series will be best two-out-of-three with the Falcons(21-5) and RS Central(18-9).

RS Central beat North Gaston 1-0 on Tuesday in 10 innings.  Ryan Arrowood was the winning pitcher for RS Central.

For Northwest Guilford the season is over after Tuesday’s 3-2 nine inning loss at North Davidson.  Logan Self went the distance for NWG and took the loss but from what are hearing Self was very strong even in defeat.  NWG completes  2007 with a record of 24-5.

Congrats to Grimsley for their tennis victory over Page in the state quarterfinals and kudos to John Isner, formerly of Page and now with the University of Georgia, for winning the NCAA #1 Singles and for his Bulldogs winning the NCAA team tennis title.
