Got the first game under the belt with a 11-3 victory over Wellington Warriors after 30 minute rain delay to start the game.

Carter Williams pitched well and went the distance for the win. Luke Gessell got us going early with a two out, 2 run single in the first. Defense was solid.

No rest for the weary as we play the Royal Palm Blue at 8:00 in the morning and the Home Plate Chilli Dogs from GA. at 2:00.

Hot and muggy on Tuesday.

GBC made short work of the West Palm Bulldogs. Trevor Clemons pitched great, defense was solid, and offense finally came around and we won 10-0 in 4 innings.

Next up is the Home Plate Chillidogs.

Best of luck to the 9U Greensboro Storm playing out of the Greensboro Batting Center.

  1. Wow! What a game. A good old fashioned pitchers duel. GBC pulled it out in the bottom of the 5th when Casey Penland executed a perfect suicide squeeze to score Luke Gessel to put GBC on top 2-1. GBC held in the top of the 6th and won 2-1. Kameron Pruitt and Luke Gessel pitched great in the heat and solid defense helped us again.

    Knoxville Stars tomorrow.

  2. Dont want to leave out that speedy Carter “Jeter” Williams came home in the bottom of the 5th to tie the game on a wild pick off throw at second that ended up in right center. Jeter slid underneath the tag at home.

Looks possible to be a # 1 seed in bracket play if we can beat the also undefeated Stars tomorrow. Should be another close one.
