Hey Andy, my name is Chris Blackwell and I coach the 11U Carolina Thunder baseball team. We are headed to Kingsport, Tennessee next week to participate in the USSSA 11U AA World Series. We are based out of Julian (just south of Greensboro in the Southeast Guilford area) and we have players from the Greensboro area, Asheboro and Alamance County.

We are currently ranked 3rd in the state in USSSA points and 9th in the entire USA!! We have a great group of kids that absolutely love the game of baseball.

Our team website is www.carolinathunderbaseball.com and I will be blogging from Kingsport beginning Monday, July 16th. I have added a “WS Blog” link on the top of our menu bar.

I enjoy reading your website (I especially enjoy the articles on Palomino baseball as I am an umpire in the league) and I thought it would be nice if you could recognize our kids for the outstanding job they’ve done this year.
Thanks,
Chris Blackwell
