Hoppers win, Hoppers win, Hoppers win, Hoppers win, Hoppers win, again…..

The Greensboro Grasshoppers made it 5 wins in a row with their 3-0 shut out victory over the Lakewood Blueclaws on Monday evening. Graham Taylor got the win, he’s now 11-3 on the season and Justin Webb hit a solo home run and scored two runs to go along with Greg Burns great defensive play out in center field.

Avie Rasowsky came on for the Hoppers and pitched the eighth inning and then Blake Jones came in to record his 16th save of the season in 21 tries as he closed things out in the top of the ninth.

The Grasshoppers are looking good at home but they face the dreaded day game on Tuesday having gone 1-6 in weekday games at home this season. Can the Hoppers get Big-Daddy Day off of their backs and win at home during the day? Head out to First Horizon Park on Tuesday at 12:30pm and find out for yourself.

On Wednesday night it’s Christmas in July with something like 10 feet of snow on Natty’s Hill out in left field. They are bringing in a snow making machine and Snow’s the limit on the berm in left. It could be snowball fight night and sledders will be welcome.

You may see Presidential press secretary Tony Snow, Eric Snow of the NBA, Jack Snow:WR old LA Rams football teams and Westwood One play-by-play man(maybe he’ll send son JT Snow from the MLB), Jerry Reed:the snowman from the Smokey and the Bandit movies, or even Frosty the Snowman.(Burl Ives said he couldn’t make it) Wednesday should be a crazy night and a lot of fun at FHP.

Hoppers win, Hoppers win, Hoppers win, Hoppers win, Hoppers win, again….. Five straight can they make it six?
