2007 NABF World Series Champs

The kids we met this weekend, the Ontario Canada Blue Jays, did not win the National Amateur Baseball Federation World Series crown, but a pretty tough bunch out of Dayton, Ohio did claim the title and they won it for the second consecutive year.

The Nationals from Dayton defeated our friends from Canada 2-1 on Sunday in the semis and then went on to handle Chesapeake, Maryland 9-1 in the final game to determine the World Series Champ in the 17U wooden bat high school tournament.

Dayton, Ohio is #1 in 2007 and was #1 in 2006. The Nationals dominated the Chesapeake Clippers but had more than enough competition from the Ontario Blue Jays in the 2-1 semifinal win.

The Dayton, Ohio Nationals are your World Series champs and another strong effort by the local Greensboro organizers is in the books. Good job by Bob Doss, Kearns Cheek, Jack Brewer, Moses the scoreboard operator and all the men that did the work to pull this tournament together.*****for more info go to www.news-record.com*****
