Guilford Patriots to play for CHAMPIONSHIP on Tuesday at 10am

Justin Smith just called at 7:56pm to let us know that the Guilford Patriots won both of their games today and they will play North Allegheny, PA for the East Zone Palomino title on Tuesday morning at 10am.

The Patriots won game number one today 7-1 behind the pitching of Esterlin Paulino. Paulino was near perfect on the hill and then in game two things got even better as Nick Rogers, John Neese, Jody Calloway, and Eric Presnell hit home runs and the Patriots defeated North Alleghney 9-0. Blaine McCraw picked up the win in game two and the Patriots are getting ready for the finals on Tuesday morning.

Nick Rogers will start on the hill for the Guilford Patriots on Tuesday and let’s hope the kids from Greensboro can keep their bags packed and head on to California for the Palomino World Series later this week. North Allegheny topped the Patriots 3-2 back on Saturday but Guilford is ready to make it a two-for-Tuesday(Monday evening and Tuesday wins) against NA,PA tomorrow morning.

With the win the Guilford Patriots would be your Palomino East Zone Champions.
