Large STORM detected in Southern Guilford area of county

The Southern Guilford Storm picked up a nice 12-7 victory over East Davidson on Friday night in the Sumner area of Guilford County. Our spotlight player, William Graves, from earlier in the week had 115 yards at halftime on 8 carries and finished with around 151 for the game.

William had some help with RB Scotty Wayne having several strong carries and QB Antonio Martin made the correct adjustments as the game wore on. Defensively, LB Kencie Brewer was big and Darren Garcia had key interceptions to save the game late in the 4th quarter when the Yellow Jackets were on a potential game-winning drive.

The kicker Albert Yeboah made a touchdown-saving tackle on a kickoff and the entire group of storm troopers stepped up when they were tested and passed in week one with a 12-7 victory. Next up:Randleman….

Be sure to check us out later today and we will have the exclusive on-line interview with Storm coach Darrell Brown.

@@@@@In a football footnote, the Southeast Guilford coaches were at the game and scouting hard.@@@@@
