Friday Night Football: Week Three

There will be a ton of action on the field tonight and Greensborosports.com with the true spirit of TV10 up in Roanoke, Virginia, we will be “Ontopofitall”. That used to be TV10’s slogan, On top of it all.

Here we go with this week’s lineup and did anybody hear how Northern Guilford made out last night? The Nighthawks entered Thursday’s play at 2-0.

Grimsley at Dudley…Both the Whirlies and Panthers are 2-0 and Dudley expects to be without starting QB Dennis Jenkins and Grimsley said Wenesday that top RB David Moore will miss the game because of injury. Take the Panthers by six at home to break up Grimsley’s 21 game, regular-season winning streak. Dennis White will be at this game and will be calling in the scores and we will have them LIVE for you on AM950 during the Grasshoppers game.*****Dudley took the JV contest on Thursday night 13-0*****

Eastern Guilford at Northeast…Look for NEG to win this one by 10 and then the Rams will be at 2-0 and still ranked #1 in our weekly poll. Paul Lambeth will be at NEG and calling us with the scores on AM950.

Southwest Guilford at Southeast…The Falcons have to win this game and let’s say they do after a eye-opening week of practice. SEG 14-10 over SWG. Pat Nesbitt will report on this one for AM950.

Ragsdale at Northwest Guilford…Ragsdale with QB Matt Heavner and his staple of backs and receivers should pull away in this game right before halftime. Tigers over the Vikings 31-14. Big Jim Modlin will have one of his Fitness Today reporters at the game for scores on AM950.

Smith at Western Guilford…The Hornets are talking 3-0 and Smith says 0-3 and WG takes it at home 28-6.

Page at Southern Lee…The Pirates will take off down H421 South and should come back to town with a 35-14 victory. I don’t know anything about SL but Page has Will Newman, DJ McNeil, and Calvin Stout and that means a “W” this week.

Southern Guilford at Trinity…The Storm are 2-0 and William Graves ran for 220 yards and 2 TD’s last week and this week the weather forecasters are calling for more of the same. Graves scores twice and gains over 150 and the Storm Clouds have the field covered. SG wins it 27-13. Will Graves Sr. will send us scores to AM950.*****SG won the JV game 8-6*****

Eastern Randolph at High Point Central…HPC has some high-octane athletes and High Point’s very own San Quentin Quayle feels real strong about this one. I have seen a beached Whale, but not a bleached Quayle. We will go with the Black Bison because Greg Johnson says they are the team to beat. HPC over ER 27-20. The “G Man”, Greg Johnson will call us at AM950 with the score.
