High School football poll week six

Here’s the Guilford County poll as we approach week number six of the 2007 season:
#1)Grimsley-(5-0) after defeating Ragsdale last week and the Whirlies are off this week going up against Open date or Bye High School.
#2)Northeast Guilford-(3-1) lost to Reidsville 34-28 after being down 20-0 and now must rebound and travel to Western Guilford in their Triad 3-A conference opener.
#3)Dudley-(4-1) handled Page 20-14 and the Panthers take to the road this week on a trip up to Rockingham County to face the Cougars.
#4)Southeast Guilford-(3-1) got the 14-7 win over Northwest at NWG and now the Falcons will begin conference action Friday night facing one of their arch-rivals, Ragsdale, in Jamestown.
#5)Ragsdale-(3-2) the Tigers led Grimsley 10-7 at the half but lost out 21-10 and RHS will look to grab a share of the conference’s top spot with a win over SEG Friday.
#6)Page-(2-3) Pirates fall to Dudley and they will have the week off to prepare for the road trip to Davie County on September 28.
#7)Southern Guilford-(3-2) William Graves and the Storm earned a 14-0 win at Southwestern Randolph and now will face hard-charging 1-A power West Montgomery this week at C.K. Siler Stadiium.
#8)Eastern Guilford-(2-2) the Wildcats were off last week and now get back to work on Friday night with a bus trip over to Cedar Ridge.
#9)Southwest Guilford-(2-3) with a win against Western Guilford on Monday night the Cowboys will have this week to celebrate{off} and get ready for the second half run.
#10)Western Guilford-(3-2) after their 3-0 start to the season the Hornets have cooled off and now they have to heat up in a hurry, hosting NEG this week in round one of conference activities.
#11)High Point Central-(2-3) the Black Bison held off HPA 30-29 last Saturday in Simeon and now the road gets tougher for QB Ricky Mitchell and company as they go head-to-head with the Black Knights of North Davidson this Friday in Welcome.
#12)Northwest Guilford-(1-4) the Vikings are not that bad of a team with quarterback Zack Lewis and frosh RB Josh Pless but this week they cross county-lines and go face the Mount Tabor Spartans. Last week NWG fell 14-7 to SEG in Summerfield.
#13)High Point Andrews-(1-2) the 30-29 loss to HPC will not destroy their season and watch for the Red Raiders to jell late in the year, but this week the challenge will be the Asheboro Blue Comets just off Highway 64 near the entrance to the NC Zoo.
#14)Smith-(0-4) the Golden Eagles had last week off to prepare for the WS Carver Yellowjackets but it may take more than one week for Smith to get it all together and be ready to survive against this Keith Wilkes-coached squad.
#15)Northern Guilford– no news on the Nighthawks. We need an update on Johnny Roscoe and his JV’s.
