The NCHSAA web site has crashed a couple of times today and the seedings/brackets may be running a bit late. Here’s the reason why from www.ihigh.com:

Coastal HS games postponed due to Noel’s winds

High winds at the northeastern section of the North Carolina coast brought on by Hurricane Noel have forced the cancellation of five high school fooball games Friday evening.

Manteo at Camden, First Flight at Currituck County, Northeastern at Edenton Holmes and Perquimans at Plymouth have all been moved to Saturday.

With the playoff implications they have, these contests have been moved to the afternoon to accomodate the NCHSAA with its playoff pairings process. Those much-awaited brackets were originally due out Saturday afternoon, but it may be sometime Sunday before all the pairings are released.

One contest, Cape Hatteras at Jamesville, was canceled and will not be made up.
