WAY TO GO GREENSBORO – Nearly 4X The Voter Turnout

The Preliminary Numbers indicate we did a little better this time than the poor 7% that voted in October – TWENTY-FOUR Percent.

That’s not exactly democracy at work and our men and women are fighting for other’s right to vote – those other countries are getting well over 90% turn-out, even when faced with snipers and car bombs.

Still more people got out and voted and it looks like there’s going to be some changes in the way the City Council operates – hopefully in the best interest of Greensboro and not competition for the County Commissions. If the TV Writers Strike goes on, we might get the Commissioner’s Meetings on National TV – “America’s Funniest County Commissioners”.

  1. 2 out 0f the 3 GreensboroSports.com candidates won their elections on Tuesday. Congrats to Yvonne Johnson and Robbie Perkins. MariKay had a very strong showing for a political rookie, barely losing out on an at-large seat. I think that if she want to pursue it, MariKay has a good chance of being elected in the future. Also, congrats to GreensboroSports.com sponsor Mike Barber on his landslide re-election to the Council.
