Bob Doss is in bad shape over in Winston-Salem at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Bob has been suffering from complications due to cancer and had to have his stomach removed this past weekend. He has also contracted pneumonia. The cancer has taken it’s toll on Doss and he is now on life support.
I spoke with two men that know Bob well on Monday, Johnny Smith and Jack Brewer, and they both told me that Bob Doss in is in bad shape but the doctors have told Bob and his family that they think Bob can beat this cancer and still survive.
Out of respect for his family, I don’t need to be printing too many other details, but the key is for all of us to keep Bob Doss in our thoughts and prayers. I’m sure his family would appreciate it. This man Bob Doss, has done so much in building and maintaining the Palomino Baseball program here in Greensboro over the years.
I stand to be corrected, but I believe Bob Doss is in his mid-70’s.
