Eric Staal scored two goals, including the game-tying goal and assisted on Marc Savard’s game winning goal at 19:20 of the 3rd to take All Star MVP honors in the East’s 8-7 win over the West.
Staal’s late game heroics likely stole the award from Columbus’s Rick Nash, who had a hat trick for the West in a losing cause.
