Asheboro Wrestling Coach fired after Hazing Incident

The News and Record is reporting in this morning’s edition that Asheboro High School Wrestling Coach Dennis Johnston has been fired after an alledged hazing incident involving members of the school’s wrestling team. The incident has also led to the arrest of nine Blue Comets wrestlers who were charged Monday with misdemeanor assault. According to police, those charged allegedly used duct tape to bind the hands and feet of seven teammates then used cellphone cameras to take pictures.
