Guilford’s baseball team opened the 2008 season with a 23-3 home loss to Greensboro College Tuesday afternoon. Phil Drew went 3-4 with two doubles and a triple for the Quakers. Ben Strong of the men’s basketball team picked up his league-leading fourth Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week Award Monday. The senior center averaged 25.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game in Guilford’s two road wins last weekend.
