Anna Gillespie has had an outstanding four year career on the track and cross country teams at Northwest Guilford. She ran the anchor leg in last year’s 4A state championship 4 X 800 relay and has qualified for regional and state track and cross country meets all four years at Northwest High School. Also, she has won the 800m run each year of her high school career at the regional meet and finished 2nd in at the state 4A meet last year in the 800m with a time of 2 min 16.7 seconds. Finally, she has been a member of the 4 X 800 relay team that has also won the regional meet the past three years. She will be signing an athletic scholarship to North Carolina State University.
