Northwest Guilford’s Scott Houston signs with UNC-CH

Scott Houston is probably the most acclaimed pole vaulter in North Carolina prep history. Scott currently holds just about every North Carolina all classification and 4A record in the pole vault. Just this past weekend at the NCHSAA state 4A meet, he shattered his own all classification indoor record with a jump of 16 feet, 6 inches. He also currently owns NCHSAA the state record in the outdoor pole vault as well. In the state meet at NC A&T last year, Scott set the 4A state record with a vault of 15 feet, 5 inches. For more details, visit www.ncpreptrack.com. Scott will be signing an athletic scholarship to attend The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Here’s the video of his signing ceremony and interview with Andy Durham.
