Alex Cooke won the 100 free with a 54.23 at the final day of Atlantic States Championships. Cooke, who won the 50 free on Friday, helped The Pride place ninth of 11 teams with 153 points at the season-ending meet.
In the event’s final race–the 400 free relay–GC was an impressive fifth with a time of 4:11.35. The team consisted of Megan Lupsha, Taylor Layton, Katie Byrd and Cooke.
In other races, Lupsha was 12th in the 1650 free (20:39.62)and Rachel Brown 20th in 200 breast with a 3:44.64. In the 100 free, Layton placed 13th with a time of 1:00.15, Byrd finished 27th (1:16.16) and teammate Mary Lackey was 28th (1:22.14).
