Greensboro Mens Baseball 2 – Bridgewater 8

Greensboro, N.C. — Brett Howell went 2-4 with a double, triple and 3 RBI to lead visiting Bridgewater to an 8-2 win over Greensboro College on Wednesday at War Memorial Stadium.

BC improved to 2-2-1 while The Pride moved to 9-5.

Eagle starter Fred Duquette pitched the first 7 innings and earned the win. GC’s Kit Mock (3-2) took the defeat. He allowed 6 hits and 4 runs.

Dan Poindexter led The Pride at the plate. He went 2-4 with a double, one run and an RBI. Tyler O’Neilll had an RBI single in 3 at-bats. Both of GC’s runs came in the 4th inning and cut the BC lead to 4-2.

Josh Hones hurled a scoreless 8th inning for GC The Eagles the added 4 runs in the ninth inning of reliever Alex Phetteplace for the final margin.
