Guilford Mens Baseball 7 – Lynchburg 9

Greensboro, N.C. – Jon Crews hit a two-run homer in the first and a two-run double in the eighth to help Lynchburg to victory in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference opener for both teams. Guilford’s Brad Buchman belted his second HR of the game, a three-run shot, with two-out in the bottom of the ninth, but Joe Devlin came in to get the final out and his third save of the year. The loss ends Guilford’s winning streak at six games. The two teams play again tomorrow at the Hornets’ Fox Field.
