Greensboro Baseball: NCWC 10, GC 7

Greensboro, N.C. — North Carolina Wesleyan halted Greensboro College’s 4-game winning streak with a 10-7 win over The Pride at War Memorial Stadium on Monday.

The visiting Bishops also earned a split of the 2-game series and improved to 14-4 and 2-2 in the USA South. GC is now 14-8 and 1-1.

NCWC scored 5 runs in the 7th inning and knocked GC starter Jordan Dorsett out of the game. In his first game in 2 weeks, Dorsett took the loss and is now 3-2. Ben Moore got the win and is now 4-1 and Andrew Webb earned his second save for the Bishops.

The Pride had 10 hits in the game. Jacob Tomb was 3-5 with 2 runs and an RBI. Kyle Bolick, Dan Poindexter and Jeff Gregory each had 2 hits for GC.

Chris Pecora and Matt Smith collected 2 hits for the visitors.
