Greensboro Baseball 3, HSC 2

Greensboro, N.C. — Senior outfielder Anthony Corona who went 2-4 at the plate with the game winning RBI in the bottom half of the seventh inning to lead Greensboro College (15-8) over Hampden-Sydney, 3-2, at War Memorial Stadium on Thursday.

Corona, who also had a double in the game, drove in Kyle Bolick for the winning score. Bolick (1-3) singled and stole second base to move into scoring position.

The Pride used 8 different pitchers in the contest. Josh Hones (2-0) coming away with the victory and Torrey Poholsky earned his second save of the season.

Hampden-Sydney (7-14) was led at the plate by Nick Price. He went 2-5 with one run scored. On the mound, Andrew Lawson (0-1) took the loss.
