You’re in the Army now…..

The Black Knights of Army fell to (2-9) after Wednesday’s 13-2 loss to Seton Hall. No slacking off for freshman Clint Moore, who extended his six-game hitting streak, going 1-3 with a run scored and he drew a walk against the SH Pirates.

Moore, from Grimsley High School, is hitting .342 and he has started all 11 games for the Black Knights at shortstop and he is batting leadoff for the men from the Banks of the Hudson. JP Polchinski out of Ragsdale HS went 1-4 vs. Seton Hall and JP’s average is at .294. Polchinski has also started all 11 games for Army at 3B.

Don’t you just know this would make a great story for the News and Record or for Ogi Overman over at the Jamestown News. Two kids from Guilford County starting side-by-side for the men from West Point. Moore at SS and Polchinski at 3B. We have been on this one from Day One and hopefully some of the other outlets will jump on it too.

This week the Men from Army will head down to Florida and hook up with George Steinbrenner.

Army returns to action on Saturday as the Black Knights begin their spring trip to Florida with a game against Massachusetts at the New York Yankees minor league complex in Tampa, Fla. Army will play single games against the Minutemen at the Yankees complex on Sunday and Monday as well. First pitch all three days is scheduled for 3 p.m.
