WINCHESTER, Va. – Ashley Nolen and Christie Hebert both had 4 goals and 3 assists as Greensboro College defeated Shenandoah University, 23-5, on Thursday.
Greensboro (3-6, 3-1 USA South) scored the first 15 goals of the game to seal the victory by halftime over SU (0-6, 0-3).
Christina Denney had a game-high 5 goals and passed for one assist for The Pride.
Shenandoah got its offense going with a 4-1 run from the 18:44 to 8:34 marks of the second, but it was too little, too late. GC, however, score seven of the game’s final eight goals.
GC outshot Shenandoah 39-13 and won 22 of the game’s 30 draws.
Stacey Pulskamp got the win and made 3 saves in the first half. Lauren Maynard had 3 saves against 5 goals in the second half.
Virginia Thomas made nine saves for the hosts. Kuykendall and Hughes led SU in the scoring column with two points apiece.
