SSR:Spring Sports Report

I found a final this morning on that NEG-Southern Guilford game that was played back on Wednesday and the Rams pulled it out in 11 innings, 13-12 over the Storm. NEG(8-4) topps SG and Davis Turner, Caleb Primm, and Taylor Adkins were among the leaders for the NEG Rams.

Smith won another ball game by stopping Carver 14-8 and Charles Glover was the top Golden Eagle again for Smith(3-6). The High Point Wesleyan Trojans lost their first game of the year down at the Orange County Tournament as Arch Bishop Curly out of Maryland ended HPW’s winning streak with a 5-1 victory over the Trojans.

Wesleyan is now (7-1) in 2008. Will Meyers was the leader for HPW. We haven’t seen anything from Michael Dimock and Tyler Hickernell this week. The Trojans will be back in action in the tournament today at 1pm.

On tap today:
Southwest Guilford vs. Randleman/strong> at McCrary Field in Asheboro 7:30pm……

Set for Saturday:Doubleheader scheduled to start at 12:00 Noon:Page at Northern Guilford

The BIG ONE next Tuesday:Ragsdale(12-1/5-0) at Southesat Guilford(9-2/5-0)…..

There has been some concern among the SEG Falcon faithful that the SEG players have been at the beach all week and there has been no practice since the conclusion of the Graham Easter Tournament back on Monday. When will the SEG players be back in town and when will practice resume? With possibly the BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR coming up on Tuesday with the Ragsdale Tigers coming down to Southeast, you hope that practice just got started again this morning and that it will be a REEEEEEEEEEEEAL LONG ONE.

Everyone is looking forward to the BIG GAME on Tuesday.
