BIG GAME with Ragsdale at Southeast Guilford moved to Wednesday

The battle for first place in the Mid-Piedmont Conference between Ragsdale(12-1/5-0) and Southeast Guilford(9-2/5-0) will have to wait one more day. The baseball game that was scheduled for this afternoon at 6pm has been moved to Wednesday night at 7pm at SEG.

Moving the game back one hour from 6pm to 7pm will give the Falcon field staff more time to get the playing surface ready. The forecast is calling for the rain to be moving out of here by late this afternoon(Tuesday). The junior varsity game will begin at 6pm at Ragsdale on Wednesday.

SEG Falcon outfielder Brian Webb is set to see his doctors at Greensboro Orthopaedic today to find out if he can play again on Wednesday against Ragsdale. Webb has been out of the Falcon lineup since the game at Southwest Guilford back in late February and he had grabbed six stolen bases in just two games before he had to sit with down with the hamstring muscle tear. Hopefully Webb will be at full-strength and back on the field to make this BIG GAME, a more interesting game.

Who will the starting pitchers be? Will it be Cam Cockman or Austin Moyer for Southeast? Does ace David Coffey get the call for Ragsdale and if not Coffey then who will the Tigers throw? If anyone has any insight on the pitcher’s duel please give us a comment. Coaches Lynn Coble and Donnie Maness know, but is the word leaking out so we can talk about here? We need some speculation. There’s only 29 hours till game time in what will be to this point of the year, the biggest game of the season.

No game today, they are playing it tomorrow, with Ragsdale at Southeast Guilford.

This is the BIG ONE and will it live up to it’s hype?
