Hoppers head back to town at Three wins/One loss

The Greensboro Grasshoppers home opener is set for 7pm this evening vs. the Hickory Crawdads at NewBridge Bank Park. The Hoppers will take the field with a record of (3-1) after a doubleheader split with Augusta in Georgia on Sunday afternoon. Here’s how the Hoppers are looking so far in 2008:

3 W Augusta, 3-1 (WP: S. Phillips; LP: D. Maday; SV: G. Parcell)
4 W Augusta, 3-2 (WP: B. Stone; LP: D. Runzler; SV: S. Cishek)
5 @ Augusta Postponed: Rain
6 W Augusta, 6-4 (WP: S. Alexander; LP: M. Bumgarner; SV: D. Czyz)
6 L Augusta, 3-4 (WP: J. Paterson; LP: G. Parcell)

All games have been tight, decided by two runs or less in each outing.

    What!?!? No REAL write up on the beloved holes? A lowly Kansas team full of Schlitz drinkers that barely beat Davidson College, destroys the Bartles n James of NCAA basketball. Why don’t you do us all a favor and start printing your columns in light blue ink. That way we won’t mistake who you’re backing? 🙂

  2. Haven’t visited theacc.com since back before the ACC tournament. It’s try and keep up with baseball these days….
