Greensboro Women’s Lacrosse Advances to Finals

Burlington, N.C. — Freshman Layne Woodard scored 5 goals and dished 2 assists as Greensboro College defeated Methodist, 3-11, in a USA South semifinal match at Springwood Park.

Fellow freshman Ashley Nolen added 3 goals and 2 helpers for The Pride (5-11). Greensboro advacnes to the championship game to face Christopher Newport for the third straight year. First draw is at Noon. Methodist ends its season at 3-11. Chrystal Bradley led the Monarchs with a game-high 7 goals.

The Pride led 12-4 at halftime. GC led in shots (44-25) and both clubs scooped 15 ground balls.
Laruen Maynard (1-4) got the win the cage for GC and stopped 7 shots . Lindsey Cosgray (3-11) had 6 saves for MU.
