No…the Eagles sticks blasted Logan Self in the final conference meeting and East is throwing sophomore Shane Dickerson who has been pretty impressive this year (4-0) and defeated West Forsyth this year. Granted it is a championship game and nothing is taken for granted but East should win this one…expect to see Dull around the 6th inning if I had to guess since East is playing on Friday against Douglas Byrd.

I don’t think I’ll be there for this one this evening. I hope some of our readers will post some of the updates and the final for us. Is East over looking Northwest Guilford?

I may change my mind and head over but, please, we could sure use someone to post the scores and the final on this game here in this comment box…..

Game time a lock at 7pm?????

  • Drew said,

Yes game at 7…I do not think East is over looking NW…simply that East has locked up the #1 seed and they have decided to give Dull some rest for the big push in the playoffs…I think that is smart on the Eagles coaching staff to have a fresh, rejuvinated Dull ready to go in the playoffs. I know East respects NW very much and I expect it to be a good ball game but I also expect the Eagles to come out on top. Tonight they could lock up 20 wins for the first time since Alec Zumwalt and the 1998 teams did it and the first Tournament title since 2003.

  • Andy said,

That sounds like back when Coach Dale Ijames was there and now the EF coach is John Fowler if our name collector is correct.

Who was the catcher that came out of EF and later played for the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Greensboro Bats?

    Ryan? maybe?

  • Drew said,

Dale and John Fowler coached at Glenn High School not East Forsyth. And the catcher that came out of Glenn that played was Ryan Blake…he actually used to live in my neighborhood.

  • Andy said,

Drew, you are exactly right. My brain was thinking Glenn but talking EAST. Ryan Blake, that is the man we are looking for.

    Thanks…
