Greensboro Pride Baseball Splits with Rhodes

Greensboro, N.C. — The Greensboro College baseball team split a doubleheader with visiting Rhodes on Tuesday. Rhodes took the first game 12-9, while the home team won the nightcap, 7-6 in 11 innings. Anthony Corona went 7-11 with 2 home runs, a double and one triple and 5 RBI for The Pride in the DH.

Game two: GC 7, Rhodes 6
Dale Martin walked with the bases loaded to end the game. Anthony Corona (3-6, run, RBI) tripled to lead off the 11th. Losing pitcher Taylor Babich then intentionally walked Lyle Donaldson (2-5, 2 runs, HR) and Kyle Bolick (3-5, HR) to pitch to Martin, who then walked on 4 pitches.

Nevin Fulcher, one of 5 GC pitchers, earned the win for The Pride. Craig Farley hurled 5 innings and allowed no earned runs for GC. Tyler O’Neill added 3 hits for the home club.

The Lynx scored 3 runs off losing pitcher Greg Allen to break a 9-9 tie in the 7th inning. Anthony Corona went 4-5 with 2 home runs, a double and 4 RBI for The Pride
