TV – Who Needs It?

Last night’s NASCAR All-Star Race wasn’t just only Cable – It was only a specialized cable channel – The Speed Channel. Did you watch it? Could you watch it?

Next February – February 17, 2009, to be precise. You will no longer be able to watch Channel 2, 8, 12, 16, 26, 45, 48, 61. You will have to watch 51, 35, 31, 14, 32, 29, 33 and 43. Confused yet…….

If you have cable or satellite – NOTHING will change, may be except your rates will continue to rise. If not you have to buy either a Digital TV set or purchase a Digital TV Set-Top Box. You can get a FREE $40 Coupon from the government if you want.

Regardless, your choice will be 8 or so channels for free or 100 plus channels for a few bucks a day. The problem is that a LOT of the good stuff is moving to Cable and Satellite. Where are you watching TV now, see our new poll.

  1. I quickly called my brother who has Time Warner and told me it was on SPEED. I was up in the pay per view range when I found it at 607 at DirecTV. The networks don’t want a Saturday night race. They’ve spent millions on drek programming, and they’re gonna show it or else.
