Greensboro College Baseball Gets Three ABCA/Rawlings Honors

Greensboro College’s Torrey Poholsky and Daniel Poindexter were named to the ABCA Rawlings All Region second team, and Jordan Dorsett was picked to the ABCA Rawlings gold glove team.

A native of Mebane, NC, Dorsett is the first ever Pride player to earn gold glove honors. The junior southpaw did not make an error the entire season. In addition, he posted a 6-4 record and an earned run average of 3.75.

Poholsky was named the USA South relief pitcher of the year and also earned conference tournament team honors. Hailing from Accident, MD, Poholsky posted a 5-1 record with a an ERA of 1.82. He holds the career mark for saves (15) and is third all-time in career ERA (.3.23). He was tabbed to the CoSIDA District academic team earlier this month.

Poindexter, from Clemmons, NC, led The Pride with a .433 batting average, which tied for the best in program history. An English major, was a USA South first team selection and his career .398 average ties him for tops in GC baseball history. He also was named to the CoSIDA District academic team.
