  1. NC State looked pretty shaky in the 3rd after they had taken the early 2-0 lead. It is going to be very tough for the Wolfpack today. Georgia probably wins to advance but NCSU has been scrappy all year long so I won’t completely count the Pack out yet.

  2. Pack and Heels get big wins this afternoon. Both teams are now just one win away from Omaha!

  3. According to a promo during the Rice/A&M game, UNC’s game tomorrow will now be on ESPNU tomorrow at 1pm. Assuming the State game is still on ESPN at 4pm.

  4. Good to see NCSU, UNC, FSU, and Miami all get wins yesterday. I’d like to see all four make it to the big dance. The ACC has only won the College World Series one time when Wake Forest took the title.

Tom Holladay (NCSU Pitching coach) has really brought the talent into NCSU. He was a big reason for Oklahoma State winning so much when he was at the school.

An interesting question for the readers: Which conferences dominated college baseball in the 60’s, 70′, 80’s, 90’s and in this decade and why? This will be good conversation.

    Go Wolfpack!!!!

  5. Tom Holladay has been a great pickup for the Wolfpack’s staff. I think the Big 12 has had a pretty good run. Texas and OK State have had some great teams over the years. This could be the ACC’s year with as many as four of the eight in the CWS.

  6. Nice win for the Tar Heels. Horrible start for the Wolfpack. It looks like it is just not State’s day.

  7. Wolfpack had a rough first inning. Pulling for an ACC team to win this year. Since the wolfpack won’t be there, I would like to see UNC win the whole thing due to all of the players the team has from the state of NC. The state had some very good college teams this year. Baseball is hot in colleges across NC.
