East Forsyth’s Danny O’Brien chooses Maryland…..

Danny O’Brien, who passed for 1,905 yards and 15 touchdowns last season as a junior at East Forsyth, has committed to play football at Maryland.

O’Brien said he made his committment Wednesday after a visit to the campus earlier this week.

O’Brien also had scholarship offers from Duke and East Caolina and Coach Todd Willert of East Forsyth said that Wake Forest and Virginia also had high interest.

O’Brien (6’3, 200) completed 151 of 248 passes last season and rushed for 290 yards and seven touchdowns for an East Forsyth team that was 5-6. He was named to the All-Metro 4-A Team.
