Triad Amateur Baseball

Triad Amateur Baseball doing business as Greensboro Palomino Baseball

I was able to take in part of the game last night at Stoner-White Stadium in Jaycee Park and McMichael grabbed a 2-0 win over Reno’s. The McMichael team is made up of guys from that school area up in Rockingham County and Reno’s is comprised of players from Eastern and Northeast Guilford high schools.

McMichael looked very strong and Reno’s got a double from Tripp Gardner in the top of 7th and appeared to have a little rally going but they couldn’t get on the board and McMichael wins it 2-0.

There was also supposed to be a game with the Shockers vs. Rockingham County but that game was cancelled because Southeast Guilford had their baseball banquet last night and many of the Shocker players come from Southeast.

A couple of highlights were my conversation with Jack Brewer and seeing the umpire Big John behind the plate making this the third straight night that I had seen Big John calling the games. Wednesday in Kernersville, Thurdsday night at New Bridge Bank Park, and last night at Stoner-White.

The Triad Amateur Baseball teams dba/Greensboro Palomino baseball will take off the next the week for the high school graduations and beach vacations and they resume action on June 15.

Here are the current standings as of last night from Stoner-White Stadium:

Patriots-(3-0)
McMichael-(3-0)
Rockingham County-(1-0)
Elks-(2-2)
Diamondbacks-(1-1)
Reno’s(1-3)
Shockers(0-2)
Spirits(0-3)
Carson(0-0)
Salisbury(0-0)
*****There was no PONY League baseball going on last evening at Lewis Center or I would have had that update for you too.*****
