The North Carolina Tar Heels were eliminated from the College World Series on Sunday night after a 6-1 loss to Fresno State in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Tar Heels fell one game short from making a third straight appearance in the championship series. UNC finished second in 2006 and 2007 at the CWS, falling both times to Oregon State.

Fresno State will now meet Georgia for the National Championship.

could not find it on TV(that sucks) but listened to some on radio and sounds like they were terrible last night. poor pitching, poor hitting, etc. They had a nice run. Its now Daws vs Dogs. I’m going with the Dawgs.

It was on ESPN Classic – because the game was not anticipated, it was not on any television schedule. It was mentioned Saturday after the Tar Heels won, that the final game would be on ESPN Classic. (ESPN has a Major League Baseball game on Sunday nights.)
