CBC to face Greensboro Green for the Colt title…..

The Chesterfield Ball Club will meet Greensboro Green this morning at 11am at War Memorial Stadium for the Colt East Zone championship.

The Chesterfield Ball Club out of Chesterfield County Virginia defeated Butler Township from Pennsylvania 15-4 last night to earn the right to face GBG for the title and thus get a shot at the Colt World Series crown next week in Lafayette, Indiana.

CBC scored 15 runs on 10 hits with two errors and they left six men on base in last night’s win over Butler. The Butler Township had 4 runs on six hits, with four errors and seven men left on base. The scoring went 3-0 CBC after one inning, 5-0 CBC after two, 9-2 CBC after three, same score after four, it was 10-3 CBC after five complete, and then the ten run rule took over after six innings with CBC scoring five runs in the top of the 6th and BTP only able to counter with one run for the 15-4 final.

Greensboro Green versus the Chesterfield Ball Club this morning at 11am at War Memorial Stadium for the Colt East Zone title. Who will GBG throw today? They may go with George Carter or Steven Mekita still has some innings left after going just three on Wednesday and then working one inning of relief later on in the week. Carter, Mekita, Hudgens, Russ, Burchette, McKinney, we’ll see, but most of all, GOOD LUCK to the Greensboro Green team.
