Former Northeast Guilford pitcher Mitch Atkins improved to (5-0) on Sunday with the Iowa Cubs’ 7-3 win over Salt Lake City. Atkins is perfect since being called up to the Triple-A Iowa team from the AA-Tennessee Smokies and he is just one step away from the Chicago Cubs staff.
