Guilford College Weekly Update

Guilford alumnus Ben Strong ’08 signed a contract with the Maccabi Haifa Basketball Club of Israel’s top basketball league Monday. The two-year deal includes a club option for a third season. Strong, a two-time All-American and the Quakers’ second all-time leading scorer, reports to preseason camp Aug. 28. Interim Athletic Director Tom Palombo named Heidi Pinkerton head men’s and women’s cross country coach and Eddie Luck head women’s tennis coach Friday. Pinkerton, a 2007 graduate of UNC Greensboro, earned All-Southern Conference honors three time for the Spartans and twice won the North Carolina 2-A state title at West Wilkes High School. Luck joined Guilford’s staff in January 2008 as the men’s tennis coach and now will direct both teams. Follow the link below for the full release:
