Sumter won 6-1 over Randolph County American Legion Post 45 in yesterday’s Southeast Regionals at Shelby, N.C. The Post 45 baseball team finishes with a record of (43-14) and they were the North Carolina State Champions.
It was a great run by the local guys; Austin Moyer-Southeast Guilford, Cam Cockman-Southeast Guilford, and Jake Ozment-Southern Guilford. They were one game away from being in the American Legion World Series.
Congratulatins to Ronnie Pugh and his Asheboro Legion team. Ronnie always does a great job and deserves crediti for leading this team as far as he did. Congratulations.
