Guildford College Volleyball Final – Guilford 3, Peace 1

Greensboro, N.C.- Anna Miller recorded a game-high 11 kills and 11 digs in Guilford College’s 3-1 volleyball victory over visiting Peace College Wednesday night. The scores of the match were 25-17, 19-25, 25-12, 25-22. Guilford (2-3) won its third straight over the Pacers (3-2).

The Quakers used a balanced attack as Laura Kopald and Emma Gunn both chipped in nine kills. Stephanie Blankenship added eight putaways. The trio also contributed to Guilford’s nine blocks in the match with Gunn’s game-high 3.5 leading the way. Setter Taylor Phillips enjoyed a solid night with 34 assists and Bethany Hawks scooped up 18 digs.

Blair Lee paced Peace’s offense with 10 kills. Amber Lowe added six kills and led the Pacers with 15 digs. Brooke Newsome recorded 10 pickups and Leah Chandler contributed a club-best 12 assists, plus four kills and six digs.

Guilford returns to action Friday (9/8) at the Greensboro College Tournament.
