Harrisonburg, Va. (9/20/08) – Valerie Brubaker’s unassisted goal in the fifth minute was all Eastern Mennonite University needed in Saturday’s 1-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) victory over visiting Guilford College. The Royals (3-3, 1-0 ODAC) and Quakers (2-5, 1-1 ODAC) otherwise played an even match as both teams finished with 10 shots.
Guilford goalie Amber Stapler made six saves in goal. Eastern Mennonite’s Abbi Diffenbach had five stops.
The Quakers return to action Thursday (9/25) with an ODAC match against visiting Lynchburg College at 4:00 p.m.
