Check out Football in Focus from Thursday

We have the link in place from last night’s show and we had quite a line-up of guests and visitors at Shane’s Rib Shack on Westover Terrace.

Damon King was there to talk about the Southeast Guilford Falcons and their game tonight with Ragsdale. Coach Rodney Brewington and assistant coach Dennis White from Smith were with us as were Joey Finison, Ian Jenkins, and Billy Stone, all key players from the Ragsdale Tigers.

Coach Johnny Roscoe of Northern Guilford was in the house along with NG Nighthawk basketball coach Stan Kowalewski. We touched on recruiting and the lure of Northern Guilford with Coach K and Coach Roscoe. We also delved into the recent lawsuit involving Coach K and Northwest Guilford Athletic Director John Hughes.

There was some great football and sports talk going around the room at Shane’s Rib Shack and as Don Moore said at the post providing the link to the show, it was nearly two hours of local sports talk with local guests.

Doug Cockman had the College Football breakdown for us and he said it may be tougher than people think for Wake Forest to win out over Navy, with Demon Deacons coming off of that big road win, 12-3, over Florida State last Saturday. Doug also said don’t be shocked if North Carolina struggles with QB TJ Yates out 4-6 weeks and the Heels having problems deciding which backup quarterback, Cam Sexton or Mike Paulus will start at Miami.

Jim Modlin said he is leaning toward the Carolina Panthers on Sunday as they take on the Atlanta Falcons and Big Jim also said to watch out for the Cowboys, his personal pick to make it all the way to the Super Bowl. The Cowboys have the Redskins at home this week.
