College Cross Country Results – Guilford Runs in Hagan Stone Classic

PLEASANT GARDEN, N.C. (10-3-08) – Guilford College placed fifth among nine NCAA Division II and Division III competitors at the Hagan Stone Cross Country Classic Saturday at Hagan Stone Park in Pleasant Garden, N.C. The Quakers’ women placed sixth among 10 NCAA Division II and Division III schools.

On the men’s side, Quakers’ freshman Palmer Hicks had the team’s best time (29:56.8). Other Guilford results included Tyler Brown (30:22.5), Chris Walker (30:43.8), Max Karaffa (31:10.6), and Leon Odell (31:55.8).

Grace Normann paced the women’s team with a 21:55.2 over five kilometers. Other Guilford times included Jenn Abelin (23:17.9), Linnea Saby (23:35.7), Ariel Lang (24:40.7), Caroline Gadsby (25:01.1), Meg Holden (25:42.9)and Dana Small (26:07.7).

The Quakers are back in action Oct. 14 at the Wingate Invitational in Wingate, N.C.
